doing it differently to make a difference
Natalie and Whirling Dervish Dairy Goats are all about doing better - we start by working WITH nature
Natalie is a well known gut specialist with a keen desire to spread the evolving wisdom of Terrain Theory, a model for health that works in symbiosis with nature to promote wellness and healing, free of a corrupt and flawed medical paradigm (veterinary and human).
(visit Nat’s health & healing website here)
Here at Whirling Dervish we live in union with nature and understand that “bugs” can only harm weak beings, so we co-create resilient goats through natural methods that begin with the premise of DOING NO HARM to our goats, ourselves as sharers of the soil and environment and most importantly the milk our goats produce which is one of the most valuable milks on this earth currently for microbiome restoration - and that means optimising health for us.
Fun Fact : most humans have less than 10% of the gut bug population that we had prior to industrial pollution and chemical abuse dominated Agriculture.
Natalie began her academic immersion with an Ag Science Degree from University of Queensland and continued on to human health (Acupuncture + Functional Medicine).
Her trip was very personal, having been diagnosed with over 10 Autoimmune Diseases by age 40 and facing a very poor prognosis, Natalie was impassioned to leave the shitty city life and go back to her farming roots in a regenerative spirit.
The combination of food medicines, connection with nature and regenerative farming has been the basis for huge disease elimination (currently nearly 60 yrs old and only 2.5 AI diseases left to clear! - one of those being Type 1 IDDM since birth ) and Nigerian Dwarf goats milk represents an integral part of this gut healing, health and terrain building process.
In the USA people are using this high fat milk ( 10% butterfat : highest in the world) to help treat conditions like metabolic syndrome and immune dysfunction set up by microbiome insufficiency.
We invite you to explore these benefits if you are interested in farming smaller breed dairy goats with high butterfat milk, great for that cheese making ability, but mostly for a great tasting, health revitalizing drinkable food medicine - people are regularly surprised and impressed with our goats milk, it is delicious!
